Haven't worn this dress for awhile, so I opted for a comfy look with this pullover sweater.

I try not to talk too much baseball here since it's supposed to be a fashion/movies blog, but I need a small space to rant. Aside from vacation, the past week has been pretty upsetting. My favorite player, Buster Posey, was injured in a freak collision in a game last Thursday, and it was pretty horrific to witness. My mom and I were in the midst of packing and we were just watching the play when the Marlins' Scott Cousins ran right into Posey at the plate. We were nearly on the verge of crying because of how horrible Posey looked, writhing in pain on the ground and clawing at the dirt. He couldn't get up for a few minutes and it just seemed like forever. I know it's a bit ridiculous to feel so emotional about a baseball player, but I can't help but feel super upset. Posey suffered a broken left leg and a torn ligament, and had surgery last weekend to have some screws inserted into his leg. He's most likely out for the season, and it's very distressing to know he won't be back until next spring. Ha, I know it sounds like I'm being overly dramatic and it's just a game, but I can't help but feel so upset. And I'm glad I'm not alone, most fans are pretty distressed (as seen on Tumblr, haha). I wasn't really mad at Scott Cousins, just upset at the whole situation and that it happened. I guess all we can hope for is a quick and healthy recovery for Buster Posey, and he'll be back next season better than ever.

It's a little distressing though to hear some of stupid Giants fans are making death threats against Scott Cousins and his family living in San Francisco. There is no call for that, and it only shows that some of these fans are immature and ridiculous. And to think that only two months ago a Giants fan was beaten up by stupid Dodgers fans and is currently still in a medically-induced coma. There's no need to resort to violence, and those idiotic fans who think violence is the way need to get their heads checked. Of course, these fans only represent a very small percentage of actual fans, most of who feel the same way as I do: that this was just an unfortunate accident, but in no way do we want to hurt or take revenge in any way on Cousins or his family. We just have to move past this and let Posey recover. Though I admit it's been difficult watching baseball without Buster Posey playing. Get well soon Buster! We all miss you lots. Here's some eye candy for you guys ;)

Haha I think I've successfully bored you all to death, or at least induced some eye-rolling ("Lord, there she goes about baseball again."). I know I've done that at work several times. That's the problem when you work with a bunch of guys who don't even watch baseball. Or even with my friends, I'll suddenly talk baseball and my guy friend will be like..."OH. UM...changing subjects here..." Oh gosh. I think when I turn 21 I need to go to sports bars and make new friends who actually like baseball, LOL. Haha I'm kidding...sort of.

I'm so not up to date/in this baseball niche of yours, but it's always sad to hear when players get hurt :( I know it's part of the sport and all, but STILL! I adore the little polka dotted dress, and the peter pan collar, oh my! :) I love how you styled it with a pullover, such a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteAwww so sorry about your favorite player :( I'd probably be that upset if something happened to Kobe hehe. You look mighty cute though--you know I love red and navy together :)
ReplyDeletesuper cute outfit - you look adorable. I dont know the first thing about baseball but boy that looks horrific!

I know it's a bit outrageous to experience so psychological about a football participant, but I can't help but experience extremely distressed. Posey experienced a damaged eventually left leg and a divided structures, and had surgery treatment last week break to have some fasteners introduced into his leg. He's most likely out for the period.
